A CAVALRY apprenticeship alumna and U.S. Army veteran, Tori brings a passion for career development to her dual role supporting CAVALRY's HR operations and coaching apprentices through resume building, LinkedIn bios, and interview preparation.
Tori Nelson is a military veteran, project management professional, and career development advocate whose background spans U.S. Army operations, apprenticeship program support, and workforce development. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word with a concentration in Project Management, is currently pursuing her Master of Business Science in Organizational Development and Leadership, and holds her Project Management Ready (PMR) credential. Having served as a CAVALRY apprentice and Student Engagement Coach herself, Tori brings a firsthand understanding of the apprenticeship journey — and a deep commitment to helping others navigate it successfully.
In her role as HR and Apprentice Employment Coordinator, Tori supports both CAVALRY's internal HR operations and the career readiness of the apprentices she serves. She works one-on-one with apprentices to build professional resumes, optimize LinkedIn profiles, leverage AI tools for job applications, and prepare for interviews — while also managing onboarding documentation, apprenticeship employment records, and compliance with DOL Registered Apprenticeship standards. Her five years of military leadership, combined with her experience managing complex logistics, budgets, and programs in high-stakes environments, give her the organizational precision and people-first approach this dual role demands.
