Hello
Nancy Castro
Employer Engagement Specialist
A CAVALRY apprenticeship alumna, Nancy connects employer partners with CAVALRY apprentices and program completers to create real pathways to placement and career opportunity.
Nancy Castro is a workforce development professional, entrepreneur, and apprenticeship advocate whose career reflects the same persistence and problem-solving she has championed for the learners she serves. She holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, and brings hands-on credentials including PMI Project Management Ready™, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and ISACA COBIT certifications — with her CAPM currently in progress. As a former CAVALRY Student Engagement Coach, Nancy developed deep expertise in apprentice retention, barrier navigation, and program operations, including co-leading the execution of CAVALRY's Project Management Day alongside senior leadership.
In her new role as Employer Engagement Specialist, Nancy channels that insider knowledge of the apprenticeship experience into building the employer relationships that make program outcomes possible. She is responsible for prospecting and onboarding employer partners across CAVALRY's target industries — including project management, supply chain, and accounting — and for matching apprentices and program completers with job shadows, internships, and placement opportunities. Her background in HR coordination, executive support, and small business ownership gives her a versatile, cross-sector perspective that resonates with employers at every stage of partnership. Nancy understands the stakes on both sides of the employer-apprentice relationship, and brings genuine commitment to making those connections count.
